Reporting to the Assistant Director for Academic Programs and located on the Harrisburg Campus of Temple University, the Academic Support Coordinator will provide direct academic support services and access to academic resources. The Coordinator will promote the academic success of all students across programs and will work with the Senior Student Services Coordinator to build programs correlated with academic persistence and retention. Responsibilities include planning ahead for required services; building new programs as needed; creating written guides to resources available; providing direct services to students in the areas of information literacy, research, academic coaching, and writing; managing any part time or peer tutors; ensuring that students have effective access to Main campus resources in the areas of academic and library support; providing students with needed training or support to effectively utilize the course management system; arranging for students and faculty to have access to all needed library resources; monitoring and reporting on student satisfaction and utilization of all academic resources.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s and at least three years of related experience in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
