In this self-paced certificate program, offered completely online, professional helpers, such as social workers, counselors, pastoral counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and first responders will gain the knowledge necessary to practice in settings with military service members, veterans and their families.

CHW-trained staff are a valuable addition to agencies dedicated to improving individual and community health outcomes. Staff using CHW skills are often already connected to the community they plan to serve and may share important cultural bonds such as ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status or other life experiences with members.
Temple Harrisburg in partnership with Fundraising Master Trainer, Chad Barger, CFRE, is offering a 10-week certificate program to help you take your fundraising initiative to the next level. Learn the basics of fundraising with this immersive self-paced certificate course that utilizes two virtual sessions and 8 online modules to assess your knowledge on your journey to earning the FCP Certificate.
HOOT (Healing Ourselves Outdoors Together) is a great way for families to start exploring outdoor recreation in a safe, supported way. Join other families who are also new to the outdoors. We’ll meet once a month for three months, starting at home on Zoom and getting progressively more adventurous together!
This certificate program focuses on cultivating an understanding and development of interrelated skills that are fundamental to non-profit management. Through the program modules, you will develop knowledge of and practices for: Theoretical and practical applications of organizational and planning theories and models; inter-organizational relationships and functions of public, private and non-profit organization and human resources. Special emphasis is given to organizational vision, multitasking, and innovation in a dynamic environment.
Interested in learning about Politics and Government? Join Temple University Harrisburg OWLS in Government Virtual Summer Camp. During our two week camp, youth will explore and learn details about how state and local government functions. Students will also participate in mock debates and meet local and state representatives.
*This program is open to high school students, grades 9 - 12.
This course is designed to help prepare current high school students for college. Students will be provided with a syllabus for the course, and will learn strategies for managing the course load and completing assignments. Tips will be given for time management, study skills, college preparation and on how to set yourself up for a successful academic school year.
This flexible certificate program provides supervisors, managers, directors and emerging leaders with an opportunity to learn and practice skills leading to a more empowered workplace. Leaders may choose to attend just the workshops that interest them or sign up for the complete certificate program. Participants who attend all five workshops, complete a final project, and present the project at a sixth meeting will receive Temple University Harrisburg’s Strengths-based Leadership Certificate.
Understanding and Battling the Disease of Addiction is a one-hour e-learning series and is comprised of three modules, each module is 20 minutes in length and will focus on and incorporate elements of disease education, stigma reduction, and motivational interviewing strategies.
