The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing new and existing marketing approaches for Temple University Harrisburg Campus student and participant recruitment. This role will manage marketing projects from start to finish, including all printed and electronic marketing, within deadlines and budget parameters. The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist will work collaboratively with the Temple University Harrisburg Campus staff, as well as others across Temple University and University College to collaboratively plan, develop and coordinate print and digital marketing and social media efforts for lead generation, recruitment, and retention of current clients. This role will support and implement graphic design projects, manage course catalogs, create e-newsletter templates, create promotional templates for flyers and other advertisements for the Harrisburg Campus. The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist also assists in developing and seeking out new opportunities to market Harrisburg Campus programs with internal and external constituencies, as well as identifying strategic business and community partnerships.
The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist develops the overall marketing strategy for Temple University Harrisburg Campus credit and noncredit programs. This role creates and writes material for a variety of formats (websites, email, social media, PowerPoints, blogs, etc.) and develops student and instructor stories and testimonials. Responsible for managing social media posting and digital ads, including campaigning, networking and influencer building. Finding, reposting and proposing social stories and coverage of events that support the content team's calendar themes and target audiences. Analyzing and reporting on trends, traffic and opportunities for social media marketing. Participate in the university-wide social media manager’s meetings.
The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist works as a member of the Temple University Harrisburg Campus team and assists with promotional efforts, including open houses, information sessions, and program development meetings. The position works closely with Temple’s student services offices to coordinate services for off-campus students. This position will be required to become familiar with a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs offered by Temple University and the non-credit programs delivered by Temple University Harrisburg Campus.
The Marketing and Digital Media Specialist requires entrepreneurial spirit, excellent organizational skills, flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, outstanding presentation skills, ability to work independently, strong attention to detail and an understanding of the needs of adult or non-traditional students. Performs other duties as assigned.
