This series is an advanced approach to nonprofit management for middle-executive level professional. The participant experience and interactive presentation, designed to broaden existing management skills which will improve the efficacy and efficiency of their role in their organization. Presenters are experienced professionals in the nonprofit community and will apply extensive experience and knowledge to their virtual presenation, providing opportunities for thought-provoking dialogue as a large group, as well as small group breakout discussions. There will also be time to share the advantages and struggles of working-from-home while maintaining a leadership role in your organization.
This series is a more in-depth applied approach to the Temple University Harrisburg online Nonprofit Management Certificate. Participants registered for any of the 10 online modules of the Nonprofit Management Certificate will be able to register for any one of these ECLS workshops at a discounted rate of $15.

Geared to current or prospective non-profit executives or board members with moderate experience, this workshop will provide an overview of governance in Pennsylvania charitable organizations. Participants will learn about non-profit governance principles, the importance of maintaining effective governance, and the roles of executive management and the board of directors in organization governance.

Strategic plans are not difficult, but it’s not something most of us are taught or inherently know how to do. As a result, they can be tricky, and sometimes daunting. Have no fear! This workshop will engage and encourage you to challenge your current views of how your organization currently operates. There will be time for an overview of best practices, and then all attendees can openly discuss failures, successes, and provide contructive criticism in an effort to better each other’s organization.
