Community
Join other families in the community who are also new to the outdoors. We can do this together!

Adventure
Start at home over Zoom with your free HOOT kit and work your way up to the Big Adventure event! We'll even provide travel assistance!

Register and receive your free HOOT kit!

You will register as a family for a three-month session. Each month, we will offer a variety of events and you'll choose at least one to attend, The events are setup to progressively work your way to the outdoors.

Events

1. HOOT Activity Kit and Zoom: Every family will receive one HOOT Activity Kit in the mail. We will complete the activity together during a Zoom meeting. You can choose either a weekday or weekend time slot.

2. Drop Into Nature: After your Zoom activity, you and your family are ready to get outdoors! The first step is trying something close to home and for a short period of time. You can choose one, a few, or all of the offered activities.

3. Big Adventure Day: Each Big Adventure will be a little further away from home than our Drop Into Nature days and offer more activities. The day will last several hours and you will have opportunities to try several different adventures and learn different outdoor skills. You will choose either the Philadelphia area or the Harrisburg area location.

Who can join HOOT?
HOOT is for families living near a Temple University campus in North Philadelphia, Harrisburg, or Ambler. Anyone can be a family – you decide.  

How much does it cost?
It’s FREE!

I’m with an organization. Can I bring families to an event as a large group?
Absolutely! If you’d like marketing materials or help with registering your families, please contact Keisha Scovens at registration@letsgooutdoors.net

Do you offer programs in Spanish?
Not yet but we hope to do so soon. 

If the program has already started, can I still register?
Yes, even if you missed some of the earlier programming of the quarter, you are still welcome to join us.
