Student Testimonials
"The CHW course at Temple was truly a phenomenal experience for our team at Latino Connection. The class was truly interactive, with internal and external speakers, hands on activities, live simulations and role playing — all which allowed to put into play the in classroom learning materials for real life field experiences. Furthermore, our class took a peak during the pandemic and it became a hybrid model class, therefore further teaching us to live thru rapid changes and adapt to new experiences and overcome challenges, while effectively reaching the communities we serve"

"I have never been more immersed in a class than I was in Temple University Harrisburg. It has been a truly invaluable learning experience that kept me engaged even though we had to migrate from in-person to virtual due to the COVID-19 outbreak. As for the program's curriculum and teachers, I found it beyond excellent; they were always very patient, positive and motivating"

"Crisis Center North’s entire development team participated in the fundraising course with Chad Berger through Temple University. Not only did the course allow us to confirm the fundraising strategies that we should continue to use, it opened up strategic doors for us to implement new fundraising strategies. The greatest value of the course was the opportunity to interact with other fundraisers across the state to build community. I would highly recommend the course work to those in the nonprofit arena. It was well worth it."

“As someone who has stepped into a role that requires grant writing, having no grant writing experience was daunting, Link Martin as an instructor is very supportive. Without this course I don’t believe I would have had the knowledge to submit a grant, let alone be accepted as a finalist on my first attempt.”

“The grant writing course I took at Temple University helped me gain the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in my fund development role at a non-profit organization. Students had the option to write a grant proposal and submit it to a real funder as their final project, which I did. Our professor was an industry veteran, and each class was spent going through the grant writing process step-by-step. I was ecstatic to recently learn that my request for funding was approved by the foundation that I chose, and my organization was awarded a Major Grant!”

"This course has been a game changer for me! I learned about the areas I was not covering in my proposals and that information has given me the confidence to seek larger grants, even federal grants! I would recommend anyone/everyone that writes grants to take this course."

"The 100-hour Personal Care Home course was the most efficiently organized and administered course I have ever been a part of. Each session was punctual and ran seamlessly. The material presented was easily accessible and informative. Program Manager, Jennifer, was quick to respond and went out of her way to assist students. In my case, I had multiple scheduling issues because of work conflicts which made completion of the course during a single semester impossible. Jennifer went out of her way to ensure that I finished the course by scheduling make-up dates, sending me course material and making specific accommodations for my needs. Over the past two decades I have enrolled in dozens of undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses, this course was by far the best administered of any of my experiences to date. Jennifer truly went above and beyond in this capacity, and I can’t speak more highly of her and my experience as a whole in this course."

I have already begun using some of the skills that I learned in this class and plan to implement those new ideas whenever possible."
